Who is a Mechanic and Automotive Engineer?

In our daily life we meet a lot of people and non of them are useless or above and below each other but what makes us standout from the rest of the others is our skills.

Some looking after our health but the others building roof over our head some help us prepare our food and the one next door deliver the goods to our home. For all of it to happen smoothly we need logistics and logistics has a key component that is transport.

If transportation is the main key of the supply chain to make all of the above happens then Automotive Engineers and Mechanics play an important role in all of the above to streamline this interconnect chain of the supply industry. Automotive Engineers design the transport vehicle but the mechanic keep it moving.

What is the difference between light vehicle Mechanic (automotive mechanic) Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Truck Mechanic)?

Light Vehicle Mechanics works on vehicle that are below 4.5T GVM and Truck Mechanics or Heavy Vehicle Mechanics work on vehicle above 4.5T GVM or a trailer exceeding 4.5T ATM aggregate trailer mass in Australia according to NHVR. Each state may have different ruling to specify how these 2 differentiate between each other.

Light Vehicle usually works on small cars, motorcycles and small trailers where Diesel Mechanics mostly work on heavy trucks but they can also work on all other types of vehicles like like cars, motorcycles, small engines, and small towing trailers.

other mechanics i.e. small engine mechanic will work on lawn movers, ride on movers and machineries similar to it and motor cycle mechanic will go above 1 class to work on 2 wheelers and 3 wheeler motor cycles and quadbikes and car mechanic will go one more class above to work on small cars and small trucks with max GVM of 4.5T. Anything above that a Diesel Mechanic will take over.

Mobile plant mechanics will work on mobile plant and hydraulics system on mining sites and fixed plant to repair them. 

In Conclusion a Heavy Diesel Mechanic will function the role of all of the above mechanics except aerospace technology.
